One of my designer friends - Jytte Pallisgaard Olsen - is behind this vest with lots of jacquard knit. Here you really get your challenges if you love to knit jacquard knit. It is related to Kakkelcardi, which you will find right here.
The vest is knitted from the bottom up with twisted garter stitch in the rib.
The work is knitted in the round, and after dividing into the armholes and the neckline, you cast on stitches for cutting at the end. This way you can knit in the round all the way up - better than knitting jacquard back and forth.
When the vest is knitted, you wash the vest and then cut it up first. After this, there is ribbing and a beautiful coating on the wrong side.
Jytte has come up with such a good way to do it, so you can be completely safe. There are also several videos to support you.
