What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are stored in your browser on your computer, tablet, smartphone or similar when you visit a website. Cookies enable the website to recognize you, not as a user, but your movement on the website. This means that cookies only register your movement on the page, and can keep track of which pages you have last visited and help you to continue where you left off. Therefore, cookies also help us gain an insight into your visit, so that we can continually improve and optimize your experience on the website and increase our service.
Cookies are used to recognize your computer on repeat visits and therefore do not store any personal information (name, address or similar) about you.
What type of cookies do we use?
At www.geilsk.dk we use four types of cookies which collect different information about your journey on our site. You can read more about the 4 types of cookies below:
- Technical cookies
A website cannot function as it should without the technical cookies. The technical staff ensure that you are not constantly distracted by our website when you visit it. It is also this type of cookie which means that you do not have to enter your name and telephone number if, for example, you want to contact us via our form on the page. - Statistics cookies
Statistics cookies help us gain an insight into how you use the website, for example which pages you visit. These cookies are used to optimize our site in terms of design, usability and efficiency.
Google Analytics is one of the statistical cookies we use to record the number of visits and clicks on our page, so that we can give you the best possible user experience when you visit our website. - Personalized cookies
These are also called tracking cookies, as they follow your movements on the website. We use this information to be able to show you relevant content based on your journey. These cookies are manifested in the fact that the website can, for example, target articles and content to you based on what you have just looked at. - Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are similar to the personalized cookies, in that they also track your movements on the website. These cookies work in such a way that after looking at printed matter, such as business cards or brochures, you will probably start to see banner ads with different business cards and brochures.
How do you manage and delete cookies?
You always have the option to reject cookies on your computer or mobile device by changing the settings in your Internet browser. However, you should be aware that if you reject cookies, there will be many functions and services that you cannot use.
