A little about it all

A bit of history

In 2005, I graduated from Skals Needlework University as a needlework teacher. It was 3 fantastic years, when the days went by becoming really good at what interests me the most - needlework.

I started my company - Geilsk - in the spring of 2007. At that time the company was supposed to be a cozy project for when I got home from my "real" work, but already in 2009 I started working full-time with the company.

I have published a book. An anniversary book that came out in 2017 with a rerun of old models and new models inspired by the old ones. The book is called "STRIK FOR SYV SYTTEN".

Knit Design

Do you knit all the time? Yes, if I can get to it. I especially like knitting samples, because that's where I can really get inspired. I can be quite focused on how the stitches turn and how they behave when I knit.

Therefore, what I design is not accidental either. I have thought about every single detail to get a good result.

I like to design with a twinkle in my eye, and my design always includes good finishes and well-thought-out solutions. I design knitwear for women, also plus size, and children of all sizes.

And then my models usually have a funny name - so you can remember them better...

Webshop and Store

I started at the time with a Webshop, and I still have it, although it is not exactly the original one. Here I sell my own yarn and knitting designs. I also have some designer friends who appear in the Webshop. It's great to have someone to collaborate with.
Here, where the company has an address in the old used grocery store in Salten, I also have a physical store that you can come and visit. I will be happy to help you find the right one for you.
I give lectures from time to time, you just have to keep an eye out to see if anything comes up in your area.

Several of my retailers have been with me all the way and are excellent ambassadors for both my yarn and my patterns. With them you get the same good service as you get with me. They know what they are talking about.

Going to the fair is a big part of Geilsk. We look forward to it like little horses going to pasture again every time we go. We would very much like to meet you, and it is in the meeting with the knitter that the yarn and design can be properly tested.
